Workshop and AGM

Indoor Air Pollution and Health Forum Nepal (IAPHF-Nepal), organized a two days workshop on 28 to 29 January 2018 in Yellow Pagoda, Kathmandu, Nepal. The main purpose of the workshop was to Orient CSOs and Government Health Actors and for consortium partners on the linkage between health and green energy and Developing Strategy for effective implementation of GIE L&A. Around 52 individuals participated in the workshop representing from different organizational A workshop on “Orienting and Developing Strategy on Green and Inclusive Energy (GIE) lobbying and Advocacy linking with health aspect. Indoor Air Pollution causes severe health effects thus it was felt, health as the important aspect to link with energy and gender agendas. Cooking with traditional and non- renewable fuels produces high levels of smoke in and around the home that contains a variety of health-damaging pollutants. Exposure to household air pollution is linked with adverse pregnancy outcomes, tuberculosis, upper aero-digestive tract, cervical and other cancers.
